LOCALISE COMMUNITY YOUTH OFFICER
Localise is a National Youth Volunteering Organisation, supported by
the Department of Children Equality Disability Integration and Youth.
Localise enables young people aged **Apply on the website** to make a
difference in their community by volunteering to help others. In
partnership with schools and through our community programmes young
people experience the power of giving back as they directly benefit
those in need in their locality.
We are seeking to employ a COMMUNITY YOUTH OFFICER in a full time
permanent post to facilitate and support the Localise Youth
Volunteering Programmes.
The position involves blended working practices which includes working
from home options where suitable and facilitating programmes on site
where necessary.
THE LOCALISE COMMUNITY YOUTH OFFICER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR:
* The delivery of Localise Youth Volunteering programmes online, in
person and through blended learning via our elearning platform on
localise.ie
* Working in partnership with Primary and Secondary Schools,
Community groups and youth services.
* Engaging with and administrating online Localise Youth Volunteer
Programmes
* Recruitment and support of Adult and Youth Volunteers.
* Child Protection and Garda vetting Policies and Procedures.
* Developing Localise material & resources.
* Communication and promotion of the organisation via social media
platforms.
* Light administrative duties.
SUITABLE CANDIDATES MUST:
* Have at least 3 years youth and/or community services experience or
relevant experience in teaching and similar areas of programme
delivery.
* Have relevant third level qualifications.
* Have access to own transport, be fully insured and a full Irish
driving license.(Travel expenses will be included).
* Be Garda vetted according to our child protection policy.
* Be available to work evenings and occasional weekends to a maximum

* Be proficient withIT and social media.
* Have excellent report writing skills.
* Have excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and
facilitation skills.
DESIRABLE SKILLS (BUT NOT ESSENTIAL)
* Familiar with basic media editing tools and packages
* Experience in working in the area of diversity and inclusion
